Boom times in agribusiness

A critical skills shortage in Australia’s booming $200 billion agribusiness sector means many students are receiving offers of employment before graduation.

“WE’RE always being told that the jobs available in agribusiness outnumber the people available to fill them,” says Eleanor Percival, a third-year agricultural science student at the University of Sydney.

”It’s very encouraging to know that there is such a range of opportunities out there and that the industry is actively searching for new graduates,” says Ms Percival, who will complete her honours year in 2014.  Full story in The Land: Boom times in agribusiness
